AGING The wine ages for 18 months in new French oak barrels, and then an additional 3 months in large foudre barrels made from the same wood. TASTING NOTE Deep, dark cherry color with garnet reflections at the edge of the glass. The bouquet is intense and complex, a harmonious blend of black cherry, licorice, figs, black pepper, cloves, tobacco, and a delicate hint of leather. The aromas are distinct and enticing, inviting you to taste. On the palate, the wine is expressive, with character, fresh, with velvety, well-integrated tannins. Perfectly balanced and harmonious, the wood beautifully combines with the taste of black cherry and fruit jam, with the fruity notes lingering on the palate the longest. SERVING SUGGESTIONS Ideal for dishes with intense flavors, such as lamb chops roasted on vine shoots.
