Vineyards: La Ladera, a 50-year-old Viura vineyard located at 350 meters elevation with gravel and sandstone soils, which is practically sunlit all the time due to its south-facing orientation. La Torraza, a 10-year-old Chardonnay vineyard located at a similar height, is a 3-hectare vineyard, covered with a trellis on a gentle slope with a southern exposure. Night hand-picking is done in 17 kg crates. Conducted by qualified vineyard staff. Alcoholic fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks, then is transferred to new and second-use barrels of French and American oak for aging on the lees. Aging: 6 months in bottle // 12 months. 80% in French oak barrels 20% in new and two-year-old American oak barrels. Aroma: Fresh citrus nose with smoky and grassy herbal aromas. Hints of vanilla, pear, melon, and white flowers. Taste: Long-lasting with fresh lively acidity and charming flavors of apples and buttered toast.
