Château Talbot is an estate in the Saint-Julien du Médoc appellation in Bordeaux. It was classified as 4th Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 Bordeaux classification. The castle is named after Constable Talbot, an English soldier and governor of Guyenne who was defeated in battle by the French at Castillon in 1453. For a century, it belonged to members of the Cordier family. It has a beautiful ink-red color. It seduces with aromas of red cherries with hints of white pepper, mint, and toasty notes. The palate is full and silky with a certain softness throughout the taste, making the wine very delicate and very approachable.
