A fantastic estate in Bordeaux, in the town of Margaux, where exceptional, world-class wines were born. Chateau Du Tertre is over a thousand years old, which has been consistently classified as Grand Cru since 1855. It aged for 15-17 months in French oak barrels (50% new). It presents itself in the glass with a bright red-purple color. Extremely elegant and refined. The bouquet is dignified and complex, highlighting ripe dark fruit and earthy accents. Additional notes of lavender, tea leaves, and blackcurrant linger, but there is also undeniable richness of dark chocolate, white pepper, and cloves. On the palate, it is incredibly silky, juicy, and rich, with a gently marked tannin. 20 years aging potential.
