The crimson fish is mainly known in Asian countries. It is a predatory fish found in cold waters at great depths of the northern seas and the western Atlantic. This fish, still exotic for Polish consumers, is characterized by low fat and cholesterol content - in 100 g of meat, it contains 1.54 g of fat and only 52 mg of cholesterol, making it a valuable source of protein and polyunsaturated fatty acids. The meat of the crimson fish is lean, white, and has a delicate taste.
